Inventory, slots and passes

Two limits shape how much you can hold in Polandball Go. Your collection has a number of Polbie slots for balls, and your item bag has its own number of slots for equipment and everything else. Both can be raised.
1 The collection#
Every ball you own takes one slot. On September 24, 2026, the game doubled the base collection from 50 to 100 slots for every player, at no cost.
There are two ways to add more:
- Polbie Slots in the Shop's Upgrades tab: 20 more slots for 200 Gold.
- Inventory Expansion, an alliance upgrade bought in the alliance's Upgrades Shop, which adds slots for every member at once. One alliance's expansion stood at level 7, worth 35 extra slots each. See Alliances.
When the collection is full, the screen turns the count red and suggests ranking up some balls to free space or buying more in the Shop. Scrapping a ball also frees its slot and pays Scrap Sand.
Sorting and filters
The collection can be sorted by CP, Level, Stars, Recent, Name or Favorites. Filters narrow it by rarity, rank, type, status and favorites. The status filter separates balls that are deployed from those that are available.
What locks a ball
Some states stop you from using a ball in other ways:
- Favorited balls can't be fed or scrapped. Favoriting blocks nothing else; a favorite can still fight and can still be traded.
- Balls in a trade slot, offered or proposed, are locked out of dungeons, battles, feeding and scrapping until they leave the slot.
- Balls with an item equipped, in a dungeon or on PvP defense can't be traded.
A ball's details screen also records where that copy came from, such as "Source: Trick or Treat", and the date you got it.
2 The item bag#
Items have a separate capacity. The Items screen shows how full the bag is, with tabs for Items, Equipment and Crafting. Equipment is the gear your balls hold; the Items tab holds everything else:
- Activatables, the elixirs. A Golden Elixir doubles Clay collection for 30 minutes, a Blue Elixir doubles Clay collection range for 30 minutes, and a Grand Elixir gives 50% more XP for 30 minutes. The Shop sells them for 50, 50 and 75 Gold.
- Resources: Shardlings, Prestige Fragments and Fragment Pouches, passes, Friend Pass Fragments and crafting materials such as Snowflake and Metal Fragments.
- Orbs of each type, used for Type Proficiency upgrades and crafting.
The Shop's Upgrades tab sells Item Bag space: 20 more item slots for 200 Gold.
Taking an item off a ball costs Aether Dust and returns the item to the bag. Removing a ✦✦✦ Sandspire Crown once cost 1,000 Aether Dust. The cost isn't refunded, so settle which ball holds what before you move things around. See Items, tiers and resonance.
3 Passes#
Several kinds of pass sit in the bag:
- Dungeon Pass: the cost of going into a raid.
- Premium Dungeon Pass: 75 Gold in the Shop.
- Remote Raid Pass: needed to join a Team Up raid lobby from far away.
- Premium Remote Dungeon Pass: 150 Gold in the Shop, or 500 Glory and 25,000 Clay in the Glory Shop.
- Remote Pass: one of the Shop's daily freebies, alongside a Daily Bundle and Free Clay.
- Remote Friend Pass: forged from 10 Friend Pass Fragments at the crafting shop. The Recipe Shop also sells its recipe for 25,000 Aether Dust.
Friend Pass Fragments come from the War Shop, 50 War Bonds each, up to five a week. What the Remote Friend Pass unlocks isn't described on the screens recorded so far. See The War Shop and the Glorious Set and Raids and Mymics.
4 Friends and friendship tiers#
The Friends screen lists your friends with their alliance tag, when they were last active and a row of five friendship tier icons. Friendship rises through tiers, and two of them are named in the trade rules:
- Trade Pact unlocks trading with that friend.
- Coalition and the tiers above it cut the Scrap Sand cost of a trade by 25%.
Higher tiers only lower the cost; they don't unlock more rarities. The names of the other tiers, and what raises a friendship from one to the next, aren't recorded here. See Trades and friends.
Gifts
Friends send each other gifts with the Send button on their card. The number you can open each day is limited; the screen has shown "0 of 5 opens left", with a Receive All button for opening the day's gifts at once. The Shop's Gifts tab also lets you buy bundles and passes for a friend.
5 Tips#
- Favorite the balls you're building. It protects them from being fed or scrapped by accident and costs nothing else.
- Plan items before the war lock. Moving an item costs Aether Dust, and items equipped after Friday 00:00 UTC don't count in that week's war. See Roster lock.
6 On polbielytics#
Inventory, bags and friend lists are private to each player, and polbielytics doesn't show them. The figures on this page come from the game's own screens.
