Getting started
From the Polandball Go Wiki
Polandball Go is a location-based collecting game. You walk around the real map, gather Clay, and spend it to recruit countryballs, which the game calls Polbies. Each one is a country, empire, city, organization or idea drawn in the Polandball style: Poland, Germany, the British Empire, the United Nations, NAFTA, even Sealand. You then grow your best balls and take them into raids, PvP, weekly alliance wars and the fight for land on the map.
1 Getting balls#
New balls come from Recruit. A pull costs 1,000 Clay and draws one ball from a set, a themed banner such as Polbies Classics, Drums of Africa or Trick or Treat. How many sets are open at once changes; as of late October 2026 there were eight. Polbies Classics is always open, while event sets like Trick or Treat run for a limited time and come back later as re-runs.
Every set splits a pull the same way by rarity. In the pools the game showed in October 2026, about half of all pulls were Common (50.5%), with Uncommon at 31.5%, Rare at 13.7%, Epic at 3.4%, Legendary at 0.85% and Mythical at just 0.05%. Within a rarity, every ball in the pool has the same chance. Sets and Recruit pools lists the sets and how their pools work.
Clay comes from daily quests, from deposits you collect on the map, and from rewards across the game. When the quest screen was read in October 2026, the daily check-in paid 1,000 Clay, enough for one pull.
2 What a ball is#
Every ball has a rarity, one or two types, and five country stats: Military, Population, Economy, Diplomacy and Soft Power. The six rarities, lowest first, are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythical. A fresh copy starts at more stars the rarer it is, from 1★ for a Common to 6★ for a Mythical.
Many balls also have forms, the game's word for skins. Witching Hour Prague is a form of Prague and Firecracker China is a form of China. A form can have its own rarity and its own typing, but it always keeps its base ball's five stats. The Dex counted about 950 Polbies in October 2026, with forms collected on each ball's card. See Balls, forms and rarity.
You can own many copies of the same ball. Each copy is separate, with its own level, stars, prestige, orbs, item and primary typing.
3 Growing a ball#
A ball's overall strength is its CP (Combat Power). Five things raise it:
- Level, from 1 to 30, paid for with Influence.
- Stars, up to 6★. A Common has five stars to climb, a Mythical none.
- Prestige, which opens once a ball reaches 6★ and costs Prestige Fragments. See Prestige.
- Type Proficiency, three orb tracks called Attack, Multiattack and Ultimate, each from level 1 to 10. See Type Proficiency and orbs.
- One item. An item doesn't change CP, but its attack and defense count in every fight. See Items, tiers and resonance.
The CP steps are the same for every ball. Going from level 1 to level 20 always adds 950 CP, prestige 1 always adds 500, and an orb level always adds 10. Levels, stars and CP has the full list.
4 Types#
The game calls types attributes, and there are seventeen of them. A published type chart says whether each attacking type is strong (+1), neutral (0) or weak (−1) against each defending type, and the totals add up against a ball with two types.
A ball with two types attacks with only one of them, its primary typing. The game picks it at random when you unlock the copy, and a trade picks it again. Two copies of the same ball can face the same opponent very differently. See Types and matchups and Primary typing.
5 What you do with them#
Raids. Found under Kiosk, a raid is a run of floors of Mymics, the game's monsters, ending in a boss. You go solo or in a lobby of up to four. Each raider brings their top 30 balls, fields up to five a floor, and each ball attacks once before it's exhausted. Raids are where most items come from, and clears also pay Influence, Clay and Prestige Fragments. See Raids and Mymics.
PvP. The Battle screen has two weekly ladders. The Open League has no limits. The Rarity League runs one rarity a day, Common on Sunday evening through Epic on Wednesday, and closes from Thursday to Sunday. Since October 1, 2026, a PvP battle is a round-based duel: five balls a side, first to three KOs, or the side with more HP and Protection left after 24 rounds. Wins pay Glory, which buys Prestige Fragments and orbs in the Glory Shop. See PvP leagues and How a duel works.
Alliance wars. Join an alliance and it fights another one every week. Sign-up opens Thursday, squads go on the board Friday, attacks run Saturday, and Sunday is review, each phase starting at 00:00 UTC. Your lineup is locked to the roster you held when sign-up closed. See Alliance wars and Alliances.
Territory. The squares you hold on the real map form one Land, with a Capital and cities since update 5.0 in October 2026. See Territories.
Trades. You can trade with friends, one ball for another of the same rarity. Both balls drop to the lower level and lower prestige of the two, and both get a new primary typing. Mythicals can't be traded. See Trades and friends.
6 Currencies at a glance#
- Clay buys Recruit pulls.
- Influence levels up balls.
- Glory comes from PvP wins and buys Prestige Fragments and orbs.
- War Bonds come from wars only and buy the War Shop's items, including the Glorious Set.
- Scrap Sand pays for trades and crafting.
- Aether Dust pays to unequip items and buys recipes.
- Gold is the premium currency.
See Currencies and shops for where each one comes from.
7 Room for everything#
Your collection has a slot limit. The base inventory went from 50 to 100 slots on September 24, 2026, and more Polbie slots can be bought in the Shop. When the collection is full, the game suggests ranking up some balls to free space.
8 Where next#
- Choosing balls to invest in for how to spend Influence, orbs and fragments well.
- Country stats for what each of the five stats does in a fight.
- The Polbies Dex on polbielytics for every ball and form, and the type chart for any matchup.
