Leaderboards, first owners and the Atlas
From the Polandball Go Wiki
Polandball Go keeps several public rankings and records of its own. This page covers the leaderboards, the first-owner lists for balls and items, and the Atlas, the game's web wiki. All of them are the game's data, not polbielytics' estimates.
1 The in-game leaderboards#
The game has four leaderboards in the app:
- Territory: players ranked by the territory they hold. A region picker switches between Global, North West, North East, South West and South East.
- Power: players ranked by Global Power.
- Alliances: alliances ranked by territories, with the same region picker, or by their members' combined Global Power.
- PvP: the ladder standings, one board per league. See PvP leagues.
The game's public data also includes two more rankings: the alliance war ladder, ranked by VP (see War scoring and the war ladder), and an equipment ranking of players by how many items they hold and how many different ones.
2 Global Power#
Global Power, or GP, is a power figure for each player, shown on the Power board and beside every member of an alliance. On large accounts it runs into the millions.
The game doesn't say what goes into it. It probably sums the CP of the player's roster, but that hasn't been confirmed, so treat any explanation of GP as a guess.
GP figures can also disagree with each other. The boards are cached, and two screens in one session have shown the same player's GP more than a thousand apart. When you quote a GP figure, say where it came from.
3 First owners#
The game records when each copy of a ball was obtained, and that date stays with the copy when it is traded. From those dates it publishes a first owners list for every ball: the earliest copies, in order.
There's a catch. The list includes only copies that still exist. If someone pulled a ball early and later scrapped it, that copy drops out, and the next-earliest copy moves up. A ball's first-owner list is therefore the earliest holders whose copies survive, which isn't always the first people to pull it.
Items have a first-owner list too, ordering players by the first time they obtained that item.
4 The Atlas#
The Atlas, at polandballgo.com/atlas, is the game's own static wiki. It is rebuilt when the game ships an update. It has:
- Ball pages, including the banner each ball first appeared on.
- Mymic pages, including what each Mymic drops and the game's stated chance per kill.
The Atlas is the only public source for a ball's first banner and for crafting materials, since neither is in the game's other public data. Its Mymic numbers are the same ids the game uses everywhere else.
The stated drop chances are the game's own figures. Measured drop rates, from real raids, are a different thing; see Drops and drop rates and Raids and Mymics.
5 On polbielytics#
- Ball and item pages show the game's first-owner lists. Developer accounts are left out.
- The site reads the Atlas for each ball's first banner and for the Atlas drop chances, which are shown beside measured rates and never mixed with them.
- The site's own Polbielytics Ranking for alliances and its war ranking are separate from the game's boards. See Alliances.
