Drops and drop rates

From the Polandball Go Wiki

Items in Polandball Go come mostly from raids, and raid items come down to chance. The rule behind it is simple: each Mymic kill gives every raider in the party one chance at each of that Mymic's drops.

1 One chance per kill#

When a Mymic dies, the game checks its drop list once for each player in the raid. In a full lobby of four, a Tapioca kill gives four separate chances at Shadowscript Brush, one per raider. Each raider's chance is their own, so one player can get the item while the other three get nothing.

Who lands the killing blow doesn't matter. A raider who never touched Tapioca gets the same chance as the one who finished it off.

Because the chance comes per kill, a raid that kills a Mymic more than once gives more chances at its drops. This is why the Tapioca exploit of October 12, 2026 paid off so well. Every copy of Tapioca counted as a separate kill, so splitting one Tapioca into dozens gave dozens of chances at Shadowscript Brush and Inkstained Pages. The developers reverted it within a day. See Arachnid Claws and Tapioca exploit.

2 What drops from what#

Most items have exactly one Mymic that drops them, and the game lists the drops on each Mymic. A few examples:

The four Vengeful bosses share their base form's drop. Arachnid Claws drops from both Luna and Vengeful Luna, so a 3★ raid that ends with a Vengeful Luna gives a chance at Arachnid Claws even when the lobby was built around Frogi. A raid that beats Luna and then a Vengeful Frogi gives a chance at Arachnid Claws and another at Blade of Eternal Radiance.

Three Elites drop the game's crafting materials: Grand Overlord drops Chaos Blade Shard, Hilt of Glory and Legacy Blade Shard, Model IV drops Metal Fragments and Wind-Up Key, and Bonecc drops Snowflake. See Crafting and materials.

3 What the odds are#

The game app doesn't show drop chances anywhere. The game's official Atlas website does: each Mymic's Atlas page lists a chance per kill for each of its drops. As of mid-October 2026, it listed:

The Atlas is a static site that the game rebuilds when it ships updates, so a chance can change with a patch.

4 How the chances add up#

A 0.33% chance per kill means that, on average, Shadowscript Brush shows up about once in 300 Tapioca kills. Luck spreads that out a lot. The chance of getting at least one copy in a number of kills is one minus the chance of missing every time:

  • In 10 Tapioca kills: about 3%
  • In 100 kills: about 28%
  • In 300 kills: about 63%
  • In 500 kills: about 81%

For Arachnid Claws at 0.25% per Luna kill, 100 kills give about a 22% chance of at least one, and 300 kills about 53%. Some players will get it on their first Luna, and some will go hundreds of kills without it. Neither means the game treats them differently.

Each raider's chances are separate, so these figures are per player. Four friends who raid Tapioca together 100 times each have their own 28% chance at a Shadowscript Brush.

5 Items that raise the odds#

Three items have an effect that boosts drops:

  • Fisherman's Amulet (✦✦, Water or Storm Type only): "On kill: Medium boost to item drop chance"
  • Paneseran Crown (✦, Metal or Balance Type only): "On kill: Medium boost to item drop chance"
  • Pocket Change (✦✦): "On kill: Small boost to item drop chance"

The game doesn't say how big a small or medium boost is.

6 Clear rewards#

Some solo dungeons hand out an item for finishing the stage instead of leaving it to chance. Toy Rocketship comes from solo dungeon 3 this way. The Atlas marks these with a chance of 0, since no chance is involved.

7 The rest of the loot#

Equipment is the rare part of what a raid pays. Most rewards are currencies and Prestige Fragments, which are used to prestige 6★ balls.

8 On polbielytics#

Each Mymic and item page shows how often a drop has come up in the raids the site has recorded, per kill and by raid level, with the Atlas figure beside it for comparison. The two are kept separate. Start from Raids or Items.
