Crafting and materials
From the Polandball Go Wiki
Not every item has to drop from a raid. Some are crafted from a recipe, which combines ingredient items with two currencies, Scrap Sand and Aether Dust. Recipes are bought in the Recipe Shop with Aether Dust or come from the Crafting Shop.
1 A recipe: Eclipse Band#
The one recipe recorded in full is Eclipse Band's:
Eclipse Band is a ✦ Cosmic item with 1,000 attack and 1,000 defense, and its effect reads "On hit: Apply 2 stacks of Starstruck". Its two ingredients are ✦ Cosmic items themselves, each with 500 attack and 500 defense and no effect. Moonband drops from the Elite Xonäria and Sunband from the Elite Ismoria, and both have also appeared in the War Shop's rotation, where Moonband cost 1,200 War Bonds.
Xonäria and Ismoria fit the theme. Xonäria has Lunar Orbit and Ismoria Solar Orbit, and both carry Eclipse: "When the sum of Lunar Orbit and Solar Orbit reaches a multiple of 10, apply 1 stack of Eclipse. I take 20% more damage per stack."
2 The Recipe Shop#
These recipes have been seen in the Recipe Shop, priced in Aether Dust:
- Neon Chainaxe, 2,000 Aether Dust. A ✦ Metal item, 1,200 attack and 400 defense: "On hit: Apply 2 stacks of Splinter".
- Legacy Blade, 5,000 Aether Dust. A ✦✦✦ Energy item, 5,000 and 5,000: "On hit: Apply Sabre Training".
- Loveburst, 20,000 Aether Dust. A ✦✦✦✦ Energy item, 0 attack and 16,000 defense: "On hit: Apply 3 stacks of Double Heal (once per floor)".
- Frosty Earings, 20,000 Aether Dust. A ✦✦✦✦ Ice item, 4,000 and 12,000: "On hit: Apply 10 stacks of Brittle".
The price is for the recipe itself. What each of these recipes asks for once you own it hasn't been recorded.
Chaos Blade is also crafted. It is a ✦✦✦ Chaos item with 5,000 attack and 5,000 defense, and its effect reads "On hit: Apply Doom".
3 Crafting materials#
There are six crafting materials, and each drops from exactly one Elite:
- Grand Overlord drops Chaos Blade Shard (rare), Legacy Blade Shard (rare) and Hilt of Glory (epic).
- Model IV drops Metal Fragments (uncommon) and Wind-Up Key (uncommon).
- Bonecc drops Snowflake (rare).
Grand Overlord is a level-3 Elite with 400,000 HP that guards floor 5 of 2★ raids and floor 2 of 3★ raids. Its trait, Sabre Training, is the same status Legacy Blade applies. Model IV is a level-2 Elite on floor 5 of 1★ raids and floor 3 of 2★ raids, and its Wind-up trait matches its Wind-Up Key. Bonecc, a level-3 Elite, also drops the ✦✦✦ item Snow Hearts.
Drops of materials follow the same rule as items: one chance per kill for each raider. As of mid-October 2026, the game's Atlas listed Snowflake at 5.71% per Bonecc kill, Chaos Blade Shard and Legacy Blade Shard at 1.43% each per Grand Overlord kill and Hilt of Glory at 1%, and Metal Fragments and Wind-Up Key at 0.39% each per Model IV kill. See Drops and drop rates.
The War Shop sells materials on a rotation too. On October 12, 2026 it offered Chaos Blade Shard and Moonband, and listed what comes next: Hilt of Glory, then Legacy Blade Shard, and Sunband, then Metal Fragments.
4 What isn't known#
The game doesn't publish its recipes, so most of crafting has to be read off the screens in game. The names suggest Chaos Blade Shard goes into Chaos Blade and Legacy Blade Shard into Legacy Blade, but neither recipe has been recorded, so that isn't confirmed. Nor is what Hilt of Glory, Metal Fragments, Wind-Up Key and Snowflake are used for.
5 Scrap Sand and Aether Dust#
Scrap Sand comes from scrapping balls and from bundles, and it is spent on trades as well as crafting. Aether Dust comes from bundles and rewards. It buys recipes and pays for unequipping items: taking Sandspire Crown off a ball once cost 1,000 Aether Dust. See Currencies and shops.
6 On polbielytics#
Each material has its own page with the Elite that drops it, and item pages show a known source such as a recipe or the War Shop. See Items.
