Item requirements

From the Polandball Go Wiki

Most items can go on any ball. About a third come with a requirement printed on the item: a type the ball must have, a rarity it must be, or a CP it must reach. This page lists them all, grouped by kind, and then lists the raid items whose bonus is aimed at one type. Item numbers are given as attack / defense. See Items, tiers and resonance for what items do in general.

1 Type requirements#

One type

Two or more types

A ball needs any one of the listed types.

Any type but one

Agriculture, Cosmic, Mountain, Nature, Storm and Wind have no item of their own: they appear only in shared requirements.

2 Rarity requirements#

The low-rarity items are a good fit for Rarity League teams. Mossball Orb's 3,500 attack and Metal Shuriken's 4,500 are big Weapons for the balls allowed to carry them.

3 CP requirements#

Shrimp's SwordStaff is the hardest item in the game to equip, since only the strongest balls reach 8,000 CP.

4 Requirement and resonance#

An item's requirement and its resonance type don't have to match, and in duels that matters: the Weapon hits with the resonance, not the ball's type. Some type-locked items give their wearer a second type of hit:

  • Cobalt Blade goes only on Fire balls but has Metal resonance, so its Weapon is a Metal hit, which is strong against Agriculture, Ice and Nature.
  • Demon Pitchfork goes on Chaos balls and hits with Fire.
  • Ensekka Blade goes on Ice balls and hits with Metal.
  • Nightfeather goes on Shadow balls and hits with Wind.
  • Commander's Cap goes on Shadow or Metal balls and hits with Oil.
  • Silent Assassin goes on Chaos or Shadow balls and hits with Balance.
  • Astral Scythe goes on anything but Shadow and hits with Light, the type Shadow is weak to.

See Weapon and item power.

5 Items aimed at one type#

These items' effects multiply damage against one type of Mymic. Like every item effect, they work in raids only. In PvP and war duels the items count only through their attack and defense. The bonus is on the item's resonance hit unless the line says otherwise.

Two of these pair a requirement with the bonus. Aklónitos Trident is Water Type only, and Lightbringer's Blade Light Type only, so the item's own type, the wearer's type and the bonus all point the same way. Item effects explains the trigger words, and Raids and Mymics covers Mymic types.

6 On polbielytics#

Items shows every item's requirement, and each item's page shows who can wear it and the Mymic that drops it.
