Patch and update timeline

From the Polandball Go Wiki

Polandball Go changes quickly, and the in-app news keeps only about three weeks of posts. This timeline keeps the dates in one place, from mid-September 2026 onward. polbielytics also uses these patch windows to keep statistics from different versions of the game apart: a battle belongs to exactly one patch.

1 September 2026#

September 16: Mid-September Raids Drop. polbielytics' first patch window runs from September 16 to 19. No official patch notes cover it.

September 19: Drums of Africa. The Drums of Africa banner opened. The patch window named after it runs from September 20 to September 30, and it is the last patch of the old one-hit PvP.

Week of September 21: War Season 1. Alliance wars moved from preseason into Season 1. The war of September 24 was the first labeled "Season". See War scoring and the war ladder.

September 24: Inventory doubled. The base inventory went from 50 to 100 Polbie slots.

2 October 2026#

October 1: Patch 4.3.3, PvP Duels. One-hit PvP, where a single comparison of power decided each matchup, was replaced by round-based duels with Attack, Block, Swap and Weapon moves. The patch also brought arenas, which favor some types, and a streak bonus on the ladder. polbielytics never mixes statistics from before and after this patch. See PvP leagues and the duel engine.

October 3: More Drums of Africa. French Colonial Empire and 13 more balls joined the Drums of Africa banner, two weeks after it opened. The same day, a recording of a real war attack showed wars still using the old one-hit series, although the patch notes had said wars would use duels.

October 10: Wars become team duels. From the attacks of Saturday, October 10 (the war week labeled Oct 8), an alliance war attack is one team duel: 1 to 5 balls against the squad's remaining defenders, with HP carrying over between attacks. See War attacks and team duels.

October 10: Spooky Season. The Trick or Treat banner opened, and the Spooky Season event began. It runs to November 1.

October 14: 5.0 items. Nine new items appeared in the game's data a day ahead of the update.

October 15: Patch 5.0, Capitals & Cities. The update brought:

  • Territory rebuilt. One Land per player with a Capital, settlement tiers from Hamlet to Imperial City, cities, guards in waves, and sieges. Old territory was converted automatically. See Lands, Capitals and sieges.
  • Tutor raids. A new raid level below 1★, with five new Tutor bosses. These are the only new bosses in 5.0.
  • Acee and Backfox, new Mymics. They are Elites, not bosses.
  • Nine new items, the ones added on October 14.

See Raids and Mymics for the Tutors.

October 22: Capture feed changes. The game's public capture feed merged walking onto a square, claiming one remotely and winning an in-person attack into a single method, "capture", alongside raid, siege and admin. The feed now runs 24 hours behind and no longer says which square changed hands. See Territories.

3 Undated#

Divine Halo's resonance changed from Light to Faith at some point before patch 5.0. See Items, tiers and resonance.

4 Before September 2026#

The in-app Event Calendar goes back to Ballsmas 2025. Patches before mid-September 2026 aren't covered here.

5 How polbielytics uses patches#

Each patch is a dated window, and no two overlap. Every battle on the site falls into exactly one of them, and anything outside every window is grouped as "in no patch". This lets the site show a ball's figures for the current patch on their own, so a change in the game isn't blurred by results from before it. The new round-based PvP is always kept as its own era and never folded into all-time figures from one-hit PvP.

Where sources differ by a day, as they do for patch 5.0, this page follows the date in the game's own 5.0 article.
