Tutor raids

From the Polandball Go Wiki

Tutor raids are the beginner level of raiding, added in update 5.0 on October 15, 2026, below 1★. Each one is four floors long and ends on one of five Tutor bosses. The Tutors are the only new bosses that 5.0 brought, and each is built around a single raid mechanic.

1 The floors#

Before 5.0, four of the Tutors already appeared as the bosses of 1★ raids. Update 5.0 gave them a level of their own.

2 The five Tutors#

All five are level-1 bosses. The game's data lists their hidden resistance as 0.2, against 0.5 for the 1★ bosses, though what that value does to damage isn't known. Each has one trait.

Tutor Sharp

Nature and Balance, 24,000 HP. Sharp has Heal: "On hit, consumes 1 stack to unexhaust the attacker." Despite the name, Heal helps you. Every hit that uses up a stack sends the ball that landed it back into play, so Sharp teaches what unexhausting is.

Tutor Leviticus

Light and Faith, 24,000 HP. Leviticus has Shield: "Blocks the next attacks." The game's own hint for him is to spend a weak ball on the first hit, then bring in the strong ones once the shield is gone.

Tutor Coelash

Fire and Cosmic, 26,000 HP. Coelash is Vulnerable: "Take double damage from Super Effective Attacks". Super Effective hits do double damage here, so Coelash is a lesson in the type chart.

Tutor Tapioca

Oil and Light, 24,000 HP. Tutor Tapioca is covered in Inked: "Take 50% increased damage on the next attacks." The idea is to pile your hits in while the ink is on. It shares its typing with Tapioca, the 2★ boss.

Tutor Jar

Energy, 26,000 HP. Jar is Brittle: "Super Effective hits deal 10% bonus damage per stack." Like Coelash, it rewards bringing types that are strong against it.

3 The floor-3 guards#

  • Acee, Cosmic and Ice, 15,000 HP, an Elite with Scout: "Resists all attacks. On hit: remove a stack of Scout." The game's description says it always sees the first blow coming, never the second.
  • Backfox, Shadow, 15,000 HP, an Elite with Slumber: "On hit: Remove 1 stack. At last stack, heals for 50% max HP." Its description warns that it wakes up healthier, so it pays to finish it quickly.
  • Tomcute, Water, 20,000 HP, a Regular with Ebb: "Next hit deals 75% less damage, then switches to Flow." Flow then makes the next hit deal 25% more. A weak ball is the one to spend on the Ebb hit.
  • Chistripe, Agriculture and Light, 10,000 HP, a Regular with Commoner: "Takes double damage from "Common" and "Uncommon" Balls."

Acee and Backfox are Elites and Tomcute and Chistripe are Regulars. None of the four is a boss, whatever the game's data says.

4 Drops#

Each Tutor drops its own ✦ item. Three of them echo their Tutor's trait: Sharp's unexhaust, Tapioca's Inked and Jar's Brittle.

  • Sharp's Mortarboard, Nature, 800 attack and 1,200 defense: "On hit: 35% chance to unexhaust a Polbie".
  • Leviticus' Circlet, Faith, 600 and 1,400: "40% chance to strike again (decaying)". How fast the chance decays hasn't been confirmed.
  • Coelash's Comet Staff, Cosmic, 1,400 and 400: "On hit: 50% chance to apply 1 stack of Burn".
  • Tapioca's Inkspiral, Oil, 1,000 and 900: "On hit: 50% chance to apply 1 stack of Inked".
  • Energy Blade, Energy, 1,600 and 300: "On hit: 50% chance to apply 2 stacks of Brittle".

The guards drop items too. Acee drops Stylus Pen, Backfox drops Antique Camera and Pocket Dimension Cube, Tomcute drops Tomcute's Bucket, and Chistripe drops Radiant Cheese, whose effect reads "On Hit: 25% chance to unexhaust an allied attacker."

As with every item, these effects work only in raids. In PvP and wars, a Tutor item counts only through its attack and defense. See Item effects.

5 On polbielytics#

The Tutor bosses are listed under Tutor on Raids, and each has its own page, like Tutor Sharp.
