The Dex
From the Polandball Go Wiki
The Dex is Polandball Go's collection book. It has an entry for every ball in the game, grouped into sets, plus a second tab that logs every Mymic you've beaten and every item you've found. It's found on the second page of the main menu.
1 Numbering#
Each ball has one Dex entry and one number, and the number is the ball's ID in the game's catalogue. So Poland is #48, Polandball Go #632 and Prague #980. The numbers don't follow sets: Earth is #110 and sits in Special Units, the oldest set, while the new Trick or Treat balls of October 2026 run from #970 to #982.
A ball's forms share its number. Witching Hour Prague isn't an entry of its own; it's counted on Prague's card.
2 The Polbies tab#
The Polbies tab opens on a list of sets, each a card with a name and a progress bar. In October 2026 the Dex counted 952 Polbies in twenty sets:
- Polbies Classics, 200
- Sword and Sickle, 83
- Legacy of Joseon, 10
- Empires at War, 70
- Lords of the Holy Age, 12
- Ballsmas Bash, 3
- Mandate of Heaven, 13
- Liberty or Death, 33
- Heirs of the Caliphate, 17
- Crossing the Rubicon, 59
- The New World, 66
- A World at War, 89
- Countryballs World Cup, 12
- Crown and Cross, 65
- Silk and Steel, 47
- The Grande Armée, 51
- Summer Splash, 34
- Drums of Africa, 71
- Trick or Treat, 14
- Special Units, 3
The sets run in the order the game's banners were numbered, not by date, with Special Units always last. A finished set turns gold with a check mark.
A ball sits in one Dex set: the one it first appeared in. That's why the Dex's set sizes are far smaller than the Recruit pools of the same names. The Trick or Treat pool holds 125 balls and forms, but most of them are Halloween forms of older balls, which the Dex counts under their own first sets. The Trick or Treat card holds fourteen: the thirteen balls that were new with it, such as Prague, Leinster, Cascadia and Ontario, plus #632 Polandball Go. See Sets and recruit pools.
Special Units is the odd set out: three balls, Earth, Listenbourg and Beach Ball, with no Recruit pool.
Filters and search
The Dex can be searched by name and filtered three ways: Show (All, Discovered, Undiscovered), Rarity (the six rarities) and Types (the seventeen types). An undiscovered ball shows as "???" with its number, so you can see where the gaps in a set are without knowing what fills them.
3 A ball's card#
Opening an entry shows the ball's number, set, types, a wishlist heart, its lore, and a Type Matchups panel listing which types it's strong against, weak to and resists. For a dual-typed ball, "Strong against" is shown for each of its types separately. See Primary typing.
The card also lists the ball's forms, as "Forms 1/2 collected", with each form's own art, rarity and lore. Prague's card, for example, shows a base slot and one for Witching Hour Prague. Prague has no base form in the game, so its base slot stays locked and Witching Hour Prague is the only copy anyone can own. A form can have a different rarity and different types from its base, so the card shows each one's own. See Forms and typing.
4 The Dungeons tab#
The second tab logs raid content, with two counters:
- Mymics: every Mymic you've defeated. The Dex counted 129 Mymics in October 2026.
- Equipment: every item you've found. It counted 175 items at the same time.
Each Mymic card shows its rank (Regular, Elite or Boss), types, level, HP, how many times you've beaten it and when you first did, plus lore and an art credit for some. It doesn't show the Mymic's effects or resistance, which only appear inside a raid. See Raids and Mymics.
Each item card shows its ✦ tier, resonance, attack and defense, any requirement, when you first got it and the artist. Items you haven't found show as silhouettes.
Both totals grow as the game adds Mymics and items.
5 Dex XP#
New Dex entries normally pay Dex XP. What it pays per ball, and what Dex XP is spent on or unlocks, aren't published.
One rule is known: a ball you receive in a trade adds its Dex entry if it's new to you, but gives no Dex XP. So Dex XP comes only from balls you get some way other than trading. See Trades and friends.
6 Where a copy came from#
Separate from the Dex, each copy in your collection remembers where it came from. Its details screen shows the date and source, such as "Obtained Oct 10, 2026, Source: Trick or Treat", and a View Dex Entry button that jumps to its card.
7 On polbielytics#
The Polbies Dex lists every ball and form with its rarity, types and stats, and can be filtered by set. Each ball's page shows its forms and every set it can be pulled from.
