1 No luck in a new copy's CP#

  • Every fresh copy of a ball has exactly the same CP. Two players who pull the same ball, or the same form, start on the same number. The only luck in a pull is which ball and which primary typing you get.
  • What sets that number is the ball and its rarity. A fresh United States starts at 2,756 CP, Canada at 1,525, Colombia at 1,005 and San Marino at 740.
  • The game's listed base CP is lower than the CP a fresh copy shows. How the two connect isn't published.

2 Rebalances move every copy#

When the game rebalances a ball, every copy of it changes CP at once, including copies already leveled. Omsk is one ball that has been rebalanced this way. A copy's CP can change without anything you did.

3 Eclipse#

Eclipse has 99 in all five country stats: Population, Military, Economy, Diplomacy and Soft Power. That's its own stat line in the game's catalog, not an effect of prestige or level, and no other ball has it. See Country stats.

4 Primary typing#

  • The pair of types the game lists for a ball is always the same order on every copy. It doesn't tell you a copy's primary typing. The primary typing is the type that copy attacks with.
  • Whether the two types are equally likely when you pull a ball isn't published. Copies seen in battle lean toward the first-listed type, but players choose which copies to field, so that isn't proof of the odds.
  • The collection's type filter matches either of a ball's types, so a ball it shows may not attack with that type.
  • Echoes don't change the primary typing, but they get around it. A ball at Prestige V can awaken a second Type to attack with. In raids you choose which Type to hit with. In PvP, Auto picks the better one for each hit. Hits with the Echo's Type do 85%. See Echoes.

5 Scrapping#

Scrapping a ball gives Polbie Cores as well as Scrap Sand. Polbie Cores pay for Echoes. See World Rift currencies.

6 What the Dex counts#

  • The Dex counts every ball you have ever owned, not only what you hold now. Feeding, scrapping or trading a ball away doesn't lose its Dex entry.
  • The "Register Dex Entries" achievements count the same way.
  • The game also keeps track of every form you've ever owned.

See The Dex.

7 First owners#

  • A ball's first-owners list is kept for each form separately, not once per ball.
  • It ranks copies that still exist, by when they were first obtained. The date stays with a copy through trades, and a scrapped copy drops out.
  • An item's list works differently: it ranks players by the first time each ever got the item, even if they no longer have it.

See Leaderboards, first owners and the Atlas.

8 Trading#

  • A ball deployed on territory can be traded, and it is recalled from its post when it goes.
  • Both balls come out of a trade with a fresh primary typing, so a trade is also a new draw of the two types.

See Trades and friends.

9 Sets#

  • A ball or form has the same rarity in every set it appears in. No ball is Rare in one pool and Epic in another.
  • The odds shown in a pool are rounded, so the total for a rarity can differ slightly from one set to the next even when the split is the same.

See Sets and Recruit pools.

10 Not known#

  • What the Prestige V and VI steps add to CP by themselves.
  • What Shardlings, from Common to Mythical, are used for.
  • Which orb type a ball with two types uses for its orb tracks.
