The solo campaign
From the Polandball Go Wiki
Polandball Go has two single-player modes with fixed stages and star ratings. The solo campaign under Kiosk is a run of set dungeons against Mymics. The solo paths under Battle are a run of set duels against fixed lineups of balls. Both pay rewards for stars, and a cleared dungeon stage can be replayed.
1 The solo dungeon campaign#
Open the Kiosk, the raid menu, and pick Solo instead of Team Up. The campaign is laid out as a path of stage nodes, grouped into acts. Act I has fifteen stages, each rated out of three stars, for 45 stars in all, and the act screen shows your total, such as "★ 23/45".
Each stage card shows:
- the act and the number of floors, from two on Dungeon Basics I to six on the act's last stage;
- the final Mymic, the one waiting on the last floor;
- the star rule for the stage;
- the rewards, and whether you've claimed them;
- a Replay button once it's cleared.
The stages are fixed fights. Each stage is played as a raid, with the same exhaust rules: each ball attacks once and is then spent unless something unexhausts it. See Exhaust and unexhaust and Raids and Mymics.
Two stages of Act I
Dungeon Basics I is a tutorial stage: two floors, ending on Tutor Sharp, and it gives all three stars just for clearing it. Its rewards are 1,000 Clay, 2,000 XP and 5 Gold.
Primal Siraj closes the act: six floors, ending on Primal Siraj, an Elite. Its star rule:
- 3 stars: clear it with 18 Polbies or fewer.
- 2 stars: clear it with 24 or fewer.
- 1 star: a clear.
Its rewards are 1,000 Clay, 4,000 XP and a Fragment Pouch, with another 1,000 Clay for three stars.
Primal Siraj and Primal Almaz are Elites, not bosses, even though some game screens file them with the bosses. See Mymic ranks.
How the star rule plays
Since every ball attacks once and is then exhausted, "18 Polbies or fewer" is a cap on how many attacks you can spend across all six floors. Over six floors that's three balls a floor on average, against a limit of five a floor. Three stars on the later stages is a damage test: you need balls whose single hits clear a floor with few attackers.
- Strong single hits count for more than numbers. Your highest-CP balls with good matchups against each floor's Mymics come first.
- Unexhaust items stretch the count, since a ball that comes back can attack again without adding a new Polbie. Sandspire Crown ✦✦✦, for one, unexhausts two random Polbies once per floor.
- Type matchups matter more than in a party raid, since nobody else fills the gaps. See Types and matchups.
Two stars allows 24, four a floor. One star only asks for a clear.
Clear rewards
Some solo stages hand out a fixed item for being cleared, on top of their star rewards. The game marks these on its Atlas with a drop chance of 0, since they aren't random. Known examples:
- Toy Rocketship ✦ (Cosmic, 200 attack, 100 defense), from one of the solo stages.
- Radiant Cheese ✦ (Mountain, 100 / 500), from the stage that ends on Chistripe.
- General's Cap ✦ (Metal, 250 / 700), from the stage that ends on Lavash.
These stages also pay Prestige Fragments. The same Mymics fought in ordinary raids drop their items at random like any other: Chistripe met on floor 3 of a Tutor raid only sometimes drops Radiant Cheese. See Drops and drop rates.
2 The solo battle paths#
Under Battle, beside Ranked, is a second Solo mode: duel paths against fixed lineups, played with the same rules as PvP duels. The screen offers three paths:
- Training Grounds, "Learn to duel": 5 stages.
- Franzensburg Castle, "Storm the lake castle": 20 stages.
- The Fallen Monument, set around a statue in Seattle: 22 stages, 66 stars.
Each stage card names its enemy lineup and the lineup's total CP. The Monument, a stage of The Fallen Monument, sends Soviet Union, Moscow, Warsaw Pact, Russian Empire and Bolsheviks, 15,272 CP in all, about 3,050 a ball. Its three-star rewards are 15,000 Influence, 5,100 XP and 250 Clay.
The stated total CP is a fair guide to whether a team is ready. Duels are close to deterministic: there are no critical hits and no random damage, so a team well ahead on CP and with good type matchups is very likely to clear a stage. See How a duel works.
The star rules for the battle paths weren't shown on the stage cards captured so far.
3 Why play them#
- Rewards. Clay, XP, Influence, Prestige Fragments and Fragment Pouches.
- Practice. The battle paths show the enemy lineup before you start, which makes them a safe place to learn Blocks, Swaps and Weapon timing.
- Clear-reward items. Toy Rocketship, Radiant Cheese and General's Cap are weak items, but each is a guaranteed early piece for a new player's first balls.
4 On polbielytics#
The site doesn't track the solo campaign or the solo paths. Each clear-reward item's page shows "Clear reward" in place of a drop rate. Items lists them with the rest.
