Special bosses

From the Polandball Go Wiki

Most bosses are a big pool of HP with a trait or two. A handful change how the whole raid plays: they spawn a second boss, fight as a team, rise from defeat or carry a condition that loses you the raid. Most of them are 3★ bosses, and they guard many of the best items in the game.

1 Frogi, Mud, Lotzie and Luna#

These four 3★ bosses each carry a Vengeance trait. Frogi's reads "On defeat, randomly spawn one of: Vengeful Mud, Vengeful Lotzie, or Vengeful Luna." The other three work the same way, and a boss never spawns its own Vengeful form. Beating the floor-6 boss doesn't end the raid. The raid ends when the Vengeful boss falls. A Luna raid can end up with two or three Vengeful bosses instead of one.

Each base boss has its own trick on top:

  • Frogi, Ice and Light, 300,000 HP, has Judgment: "After damage calculation, attacks from Balls with CP above 8000 add a stack. At 5 stacks, exhaust all remaining Balls in the party."
  • Mud, Ice and Storm, 300,000 HP, has Type Conduit, "When attacked, gain a Type Shield matching the attack's type," and Exposed, "This Mymic has no type resistances. Resisted hits are treated as neutral."
  • Lotzie, Cosmic and Energy, 250,000 HP, has Neutralize: "When I gain a new Status Effect, I also gain a stack of Shield."
  • Luna, Chaos and Shadow, 300,000 HP, has Shadow Split: "After every 2 successful damaging attacks, I gain 10,000 HP and split into 2 exact copies."

The Vengeful forms

Each Vengeful boss carries an Ascended version of its base trait, and it is harsher in every case:

  • Vengeful Frogi, 375,000 HP, has Ascended Judgment. The threshold drops to "CP above 7500", and it exhausts your party at 3 stacks instead of 5.
  • Vengeful Mud, 300,000 HP, has Ascended Type Conduit: "When attacked, become Immune to that attack's type for the rest of the encounter." Each type you hit it with is gone for the rest of the fight.
  • Vengeful Lotzie, 300,000 HP, has Ascended Neutralize: "When I gain a new Status Effect, I also gain 1 stack of Shield and 2 stacks of Preservation."
  • Vengeful Luna, 350,000 HP, has Ascended Shadow Split: "After every 2 successful damaging attacks, I split into 3 exact copies."

A Vengeful boss drops the same item as its base form. Arachnid Claws drops from both Luna and Vengeful Luna, Blade of Eternal Radiance from Frogi and Vengeful Frogi, Fractal Scarf from Mud and Vengeful Mud, and Windeluft from Lotzie and Vengeful Lotzie. So a Luna raid that spawns Vengeful Frogi gives a chance at Arachnid Claws and another at Blade of Eternal Radiance.

2 Vertexia, Xterial and Kivalaian#

These three 3★ bosses are fought together as one encounter, each with 800,000 HP. The boss your lobby queued for is the leader, and only the leader's opening trait is in play:

  • Vertexia (Storm and Cosmic) leads with Bloodlust: "Leader: When defeated, Visceral Slash passes to another Mymic." Visceral Slash reads "Every attack that isn't a Multi: Loses 1 stack. When the last stack is lost, exhausts 3 random Polbies and resets. A Multi attack resets it." Eye of the Storm even unexhausts a ball when a Multi resets the slash from its last stack.
  • Xterial leads with Gatekeeper: "Leader: While this Mymic is undefeated, other Mymics take 90% less damage." Xterial also has Overseer, "Dodges 10% of Super Effective attacks, 30% of neutral attacks and 75% of resisted attacks. Never dodges Ice," and Headshot, which exhausts your strongest ball after three item-resonance attacks in a row.
  • Kivalaian leads with Gravity Well: "Leader: While this Mymic has Rift, single-target attacks are redirected to it." Rift blocks hits, and when it blocks a Super Effective hit it exhausts a random ball. Kivalaian's Black Hole also punishes two Ultimates in a row with Event Horizon, "On attack: Exhausts a random Polbie and loses 1 stack."

Each of the three drops its own ✦✦✦✦ item: The Harvester from Vertexia, Silent Assassin from Xterial and Cosmic Glacialis from Kivalaian.

3 The Shrimp#

The Shrimp, Water and Cosmic, starts with only 10,000 HP, but that is just the first phase. Its Shimpi are guarded by Shrimp's Court, "While this Mymic is undefeated, Shimpi can't be defeated": a hit that would defeat a Shimpi leaves it at 1 HP instead. School makes The Shrimp take 10% less damage for each living Shimpi, and Submerged reads "Takes 50% less damage from non-Water attacks. Water attacks can't be resisted."

Then comes Necromancer: "When defeated: Rises again with 650,000 HP, 2 stacks of Shield and Valor, and unexhausts a random Polbie. Shrimp's Court ends." Once the Court is gone, the Shimpi can fall, and Culling unexhausts one of your balls for every 4 Shimpi defeated. Valor comes only with this second phase: "On attack: Loses 1 stack. When the last stack is lost, summons a Shimpi (up to 9 on the floor) and resets."

Both The Shrimp and Shimpi have Shredded, "When hit by a Nature Polbie: Exhausts a random Polbie," so Nature balls are a liability here. The Shrimp drops Shrimp's SwordStaff, and Shimpi drops Radiant Lotus.

4 Nergal, The Conqueror#

Nergal, Fire and Chaos, has 8,000,000 HP, by far the most of any Mymic. It also has a loss condition, Apocolypse: "On hit: Gain 1 stack of Apocolypse. Every time I take a total of 1 million damage, reduce my stacks of Apocolypse to 1. When I have 12 stacks of Apocolypse, you lose."

Its other traits work against it. Doom gives it a stack of Universal Weakness, "I take 1% more damage per stack," for every 10,000 damage it takes, and Shatterpoint makes Ultimates hit it harder. Nergal drops Crimson Reaver, "Deal extra damage equal to 25% of the target's current HP," and Cursed Tablet, "Gain 3 Ultimate Attacks."

5 The Commonwealth#

The Commonwealth, Shadow and Light, has 950,000 HP and a wall of Laws. Celestial Dominion reads "Takes 70% less damage from every Type except Shadow, Light, Cosmic and Chaos," so only those four types make real progress. Law of Space, Law of the Stars and Law of the Cosmos each make it take 20% more from Shadow, Light and Cosmic attacks.

Law of the Inevitable makes it "Immune to Chaos" until a Shadow, a Light and a Cosmic Ultimate have each landed. Then it becomes Abyssal Descension: "Takes 25% more damage from Chaos attacks, plus 5% more for every 20% of max HP lost." And the first defeat isn't final. Eternal Commonwealth reads "When defeated: Restores 25% of max HP and gains Last Stand instead."

It drops Sword of the Fallen Stars, whose effect applies Starshard, Starstruck, Law of Space and Law of the Cosmos to whatever it hits.

6 Other bosses with a twist#

  • Grand Tect (3★) has Leader, "I take 90% reduced damage while I have undefeated allies," and it carries Double Heal, which works in your favor: while it has stacks, a hit on it doesn't exhaust the attacker and unexhausts another ball.
  • Tapioca (2★) has Blank Canvas, "When defeated, respawns more copies of this Mob with Hollow." Hollow makes each copy take 50% more damage. An exploit that used Arachnid Claws to split Tapioca into dozens of copies, with Matrix holding the damage down, was reverted in October 2026; see Arachnid Claws and Tapioca exploit.
  • Graffy (2★) has Worldbuilding. When defeated it comes back with a third of its max HP, retyped to match the ball that landed the finishing blow.
  • Heavenly Sultan (1★) has Taunt, which pulls every attack onto it, and Sultan's Rage, "After you target me with 3 attacks, summon Afgar." Afgar arrives with Taunt of its own.

7 On polbielytics#

Vengeful bosses has the four Vengeful forms, and each boss has its own page, like The Shrimp.
